Zakat Al Fitr

Zakat al-Fitr, also called Fitrana, is an obligatory charity given in the form of food to the poor and needy at the end of Ramadan, before the Eid prayer. Every Muslim who possesses surplus food is required to give Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of themselves and each member of their household.
